FAQ – The most important questions our customers may ask about the fusion

General

The fusion of BLB with NORD/LB enables us to bundle our strengths and place our then united banks on a sustainably stable footing. The fusion brings operational advantages for both BLB and NORD/LB, for example in the implementation of the increasing regulatory requirements for banks. This enables us to invest or resources and capabilities more effectively in our core business areas and place our focus even more intensely on you, our customers.

With the fusion scheduled to take place on 1 September 2017, you will become a customer of the NORD/LB. From this point in time onwards, you will enjoy the combined benefits of the then united institutions. For example, you will have direct access to all products and services of the concern and will be able to take advantage of the global network of the NORD/LB. This means that we and the colleagues of the international branches of the NORD/LB in Shanghai, Singapore, London, Luxembourg and New York will be able to offer you a qualitatively better and more attractive portfolio of services.

Another important aspect for you is that our most important asset and USP, the specialists with exceptional industry expertise, will initially continue to be available to handle your particular needs. As long as you receive no information from us to the contrary, this means that your wishes and needs will continue to be handled by your familiar contacts at our bank. For our private and business customers, the ‘BLB’ brand will continue to maintain a prominently visible presence in Bremen and Oldenburg beyond 1 September 2017.
